The preferred online source of my tires the Tire Rack at last check, I do not see them offer the Nexen tires with the brand, but maybe that could change.
Are Nexen tires any good?

They may just buy some or thinking about it but they do not know much about this brand.

We believe that most people who have used Tire Nexen have found them satisfactory, and seems happy with their prices are generally lower.

If there are complaints from people who are not satisfied they are rare and, from the little I’ve seen it is common to blame the tire or the manufacturer when in fact there is something else that is the cause of their difficulties.

At this moment I do not know if there is good reason to avoid the brand or special tires made by Nexen.

The key for ANY tire is a treatment for it, and if you have any doubts about the quality, then pay extra attention to the basics of regular pressure checks, rotation and balancing.

As you know Nexen is a brand of Korean manufacturers and gets its name from the shortening of the phrase “Next Century Tire.”

The only trouble I’ll look into buying these brands is the fact that they are not easy to find as other, more popular brands, so if you have an urgent need to replace only one or two and you want to keep all your tires the same, this might be a problem.

These same factors may be added if you want to have a tire that is “different” from others – so it is largely the point of view, too.

Nexen Tire Announces New Factory in Korea

This step is seen as a way of ramping up production in anticipation of the annual growth of 6% of the global tire demand. The new plant, which will be located in Youngman Province, southeast of Seoul, will be the largest in the world to produce tires for passenger cars and light trucks, according to the company. Investments, which are scheduled to be done by 2017, will increase the company’s existing annual production of other Chinese companies and South Korean plant to 60 million units and a place among the world’s top 10 tiebreakers, the company said in a statement.

Nexen Tire has been supplying OE tires for the mainly South Korean car manufacturers’ (Kia, Hyundai, Canyon) major models (NF Sonata Transform, Mohave, Soul, Forte, Morning, Windstorm, Renton) since 2008. However, the company’s key strategic victory so far is to supply large-scale Life trendy but Kia. Nexen representative reported that the company supplies 70% of the OE for Kia Soul and Forte model, and Tire & Accessories has been in good authority that the company supplies more than 50% on Life models only.

As a company representative reports that the fitment of this had contributed a lot to “build brand awareness.” Looking ahead, Nexen Tire expects not only to continue to increase the supply to the Korean car makers but also to develop new contracts with a “known foreign maker-up to the level of reliability on technology and quality to the world top level.”

According to recent analyst reports issued by Hanja Securities, Nexen Tire has significantly product mix with higher added value products such as tires UHP. Forty percent of the company’s factory capacity Korea (17 million tires per year) is said to output of about 7 million tires UHP.

Back in June the company reported a level of demand exceeds supply and therefore plans to increase production in 2010 about 30%. Hanja securities explains the importance of replacement sales Nexen when it stated that “the majority of sales of [the company] and the revenues derived from export markets replacement tires, when the Korean Won exchange rate falls below ? 1,200 / IU.S. Dollar, the profitability of the domestic replacement market improves. Therefore, Nexen is trying to have the most ideal ratio between export and domestic markets.

Placing new plant investment into perspective, on July 21, an analyst at Hyundai Securities said Nexen is on track for record sales in 2010: “We expect 2010 sales exceeded Nexen ? 1 trillion ($ 800.8 million),” analysts said. Hyundai Securities reason ‘is that large-scale corporate capital expenditures (which include the construction of production facilities in China and established offices in all major markets in Europe) should produce results in the medium and long term.

Nexen roots originate from the brand named Heung-A tires in 1942. It delivers more than 60 years Nexen recognition as a leader in the tire industry. Nexus of North Korea as the first company accredited their tires, which began producing tires in 1956.

After 30 years in the tire business expanded into the area Nexen Tangshan, Korea with the construction of a radial tire factory. Nexen six years later formed an alliance with a Japanese company, OHTSU Tire & Rubber in order to further their technological know-how and manufacturing capabilities.
It was not until 2000 that the tire company changed their name from Woo sung Tires for Tire Corporation Nexen. They do this to reflect their commitment to quality products and the leadership continues. The reason they chose Nexus is because the name is a combination of the two future-oriented words, the next one and centuries. That same year, 2000, Nexus is listed on the KOSPI 200 Index, the Korean futures market capitalization weighted. This market makes up 93% of the total market value of the Korea Stock Exchange.

Nexen anticipate market demand and sustained growth, which is why they practice the constant improvement and restructuring. In order to follow their plan, in 2003 they closed their BIAS tire plants because of low incomes and decided to invest in the opening and operation of the second plant. In 2004 they began to introduce the Ultra High Performance tires and develop High Performance SUV tires.

In 2005, Nexen was awarded a patent for the technology to manufacture rubber / tire composite storied name, in 2006 Nexus completed the development of new UHP and Winter LTR / SUV pattern, and in 2007 opened another Nexen tire factory in Qingdao, China to accommodate the global demand increased.
